Keeping Families Together:

·       In a perfect world, families would remain intact, with each child having two parents living in the home. Having said that, participants acknowledged that this perfect world does not exist.

·       There are times when it is essential that a child should be removed. Participants who had been abused or sexually molested themselves strongly advocated for removal of children from abusive environments.

·       Most participants felt that removal is sometimes the lesser of two evils.
